the first city that i visited in US was Orlando... Wow....what an adventures place.. Everything is thereFrom the Disney,Universal to Sea world,Discovery cove... A place full of roller coasters...And i did freak out...
From little snorkeling to Whale show,everything was exotic....

Then Miami.. Bay watch....
Remember the dayda when i was a kid Baywatch was very popular in US and Adults only in IndiaIt was all here.. In the south beach,miami... Nature unflods itself to us and many peopleunfolded back to the Nature.......
A great trip and a trip to remember....
I know u all would have expected more but let me accompalish that in my next blog...

The First week in US

The First Day in US---------------------
From the Airport.. to the Yellow cab.. it was just 2 minutes that i was exposed to the freezing colda nd that was enough.. i enjoyed the first snow fall on me.... Off we go.. My friend had booked a room in Howard Johnson hotel... A cool.. the owner is Patel but he should havechanged his name.. His name now is Peter Patel :)... He was warm and took me to my room..Wow.. bath tubs, tv,fridge,oven and everything u need with a free contiental break fast..It was amazing.. The entire sunday i was inside the room wondering what s happening outside.. All that i could c was SNOW.....
Monday to Office-----------------
Got up by 4AM (Yup.. i too had jet lag) Got ready by 6, the bus was at 8*15... then came to my office.. met my manager.. he told me that it ll take a week to set things ready for me.. Fine.. happy.. time to settle down.. time to finish all joining formalities....
then one of my friend told that they are going to Florida for the Christmas vacation and they can accomadate one in their group.. Yup.. i m there.. the first weekend off for a tript o one of the most attractive places in US, FLorida....

Plane (Flight!!!!)

The Flight
KLM Dutch Airlines- I have always dremat of travelling in Lufthansa to US (specially for theirad- EVERYTHING FOR THIS ONE MOMENT!!!) but i had no choice and here i am inside a very verybig flight with all the luxuries.. But i m tired.. the time was 4.30 AM.. i have not slept inthe last 30 hours (i don know what time it is outside).... I am tired.. then
We alwasy here lot about Airhostess being pretty and bla blas .. ya ofcourse they were butnot attractive.... she offered me a drink.. the choices were beer,wine and whisky ?????
I declined the first offer they gave me.. how bad??? then after a good sleep, i woke up..
I was in the window seat and that one moment when i saw out was hmmmm BEAUTIFUL...
32000 feet above the land and at as speed of 1000 miles per hour.. clouds in between me andthe ocean.. wow.. all what a first time flyer can dream offff....
Now in Amsterdam Airport in the dutch land... The airport was byfar the biggest that i have seen(Bigger then even Renault regan Airpor in Washington DC).. beautiful airport ...
I had a 5.5 hours wait and i badly wanted to call home but i was not able to because mycredit card was not working.....
then when we were all set to start to US, there was some mechanical problem with the flightand off we go.. 5 more hours of wait.. they gave us food,5 min world calln card (:)) andbla bla s... Searched for the red phone (as they call it) and then called HOME.....
After 11 hours in Amsterdam (weather outside the airport was -10 F), we started to Hartford Connecticut... Yet another enjoyable trip and finally i landed in the LAND of oppurtunitiesUNITED STATES OF AMERICA.. after strict immigration checks,i acme out of the airport..
hold ur breath... It was -15F (i am from chennai where 80F is cold)... i literally froze butthats waht i want... ya i wanted change.. As said by someone, CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANTTHING IN THE WORLD......

The Trip.....

The Trip.....
It was a long wait.. to be precise 1 year and 15 days.. and a long dream come true..to be precise last 10 years...
I wonder whats there so special in US that is not in my homeland but still US turns mostpeople on.....
As i had told u all, after tough waits and expected plan drops and frustrations and tensions and betrayals, finally all set for Dec 14th..
Tickets booked but not sure will it be true.. My first flight trip.. Finally i am going to be in one which i have always looked with a WOW from the land....
Parents are there in chennai for me expectin my manager to give the final GOGO and i am in office wondering that there are only 2 more days and i have not packed anything...
OK On Dec 13th morning, my manager finally asks me "HAVE U PACKED? ".. Shockn but ya.. thatshow it is.. so SHOPPING.. He told me that Rocky hill is a very cold place and get clothes accordingly....
My Close to hearts where with me (Of course My dad,mom and my brother i mean) and my friends to send me off.... I knew very well i am goin to miss lots of fun ....
But somewhere down i knew it is my duty that i have to goooo.....
Here we are.. All set Mom dad relatives freinds ready to tell bbye....
I am waiting for my flight announcement KINGFISHER WELCOMES U.....

Finally US!!!!

Folks,

I am back after a break(i mean it....) Lots of things have happened between my last blog and this one...

To cut it short, i have been transformed from an emotionally dependent attached boy to a more maturated less emotional guy..

Those days where mixed with more of tears and ofcourse the ever soothing smile... i am swear that i ll be never sad again like this time ever again n my life....

Anyway i am ready for a new journey this time full of interesting things.... from amsterdam airport expereince to the Miami Chics...

The Journey from

Katrathu Science (B.Tech (Bio-Technology)

After the release of this movie called 'Tamil MA/Katrathu Tamil", there are lots of arguments regarding the impact of ITES & BPO's on lifestyle and lives of other common people.. ya i also happened to watch the movie twice (once for the hype and the other time for a song "Paravayeh Engu" sung by maestro Illayaraja and composed by Yuvan... Great song...i can even write a blog about this song but man so many blogs about movies might make u all boring (illa na mattum bore illaya? -I dont have answer for this...)

After the movie , there was a debate between two people in me.. one is Obli from B-tech(bio-tech) and another Prabu as a S/W Engineer).. ya the statement above is so contradicting right. B-tech from Biotech and i am working as a software engineer.. this is the question that most of the people ask me most times.. the answer is the movie by itself..

For someone at this juncture to work in a field that he loved too (except for the CSC group) is like hell..Even i have a very strong feeling that IT industry has mde a huge impact in my life where my dreams where research nd it is still a dream.. monetarily speaking except IT's not many can affors Coffee Days for coffee,Appar's For Food,Fruit shoip on greams road for Juices or for that matter even satya cinemas..

I hate this and the governemnt must do something to make the other promisinf feilds grow.. look now a days even people are avoiding MBBS (which is GOD to me) for the sake of their future being secured... Let us pray that something happens and the others too get the privileges..

Ok coming back to ITes affecting the society, ya we are paid good but that has made others greedy big time.. why must the flat owners increase the house rents.. did they loose their senses for money..ok leave it.. why must hotels double their price menu and ofcourse all others who have forgotten that there are other common people around.. this can be cahnged only if poeple realise their mistakes and their is no point blaming the IT folks for the price hike because they are not the ones who have lost their senses...

To me here is the conclusion..

OTHER FIELDS MUST BE GIVEN IMPORTANCE LIKE THE IT.. Atleast use the money that IT is generating for other fields

IT people alone cannot be blamed for inflation.. check out guys.. this is topic of great importance atleast to the metros... comments are welcome!!!

Friends- TV Show and My Friends

What are weekends for? Shopping,Relaxing,Chilling out... i dont know.. this last one did not see me do any of these.. rather as per my friends chioce i started watching FRIENDS-TV SHOW. i had spent nearly 12 hours on it and it is worth every minute of it...

Folks who wanna break from all these serious and ofcourse monotonous life and most importantly who have a good jovial sense and an open mind can enjoy this BIG TIME....

Chandler,Ross,Joyce,Monica,Rachel and Phoebe have become a part of my friends gang.. believe me.. the cast,their uniqueness are kewl and the way they have picturised american lifestyle makes u feel and fall for them...

Even my gang of friends are like that and even we could have been in that troup if we had born in US...
